The Story I Choose Now
For most of my life, I was manifesting without realizing it.
I repeated identities formed through childhood, survival, relationships, fear, hope, work, and the need to be seen. Some assumptions limited me. Others carried me farther than I understood.
The belief that I could figure things out helped me build. The belief that I could change helped me become sober. The belief that my body could improve helped me participate in healing. The belief that my story could help someone gave meaning to experiences I once considered only painful.
I cannot claim that every event occurred because of one thought. I can see, however, how repeated assumptions influenced the person who entered each experience. That is where my power lives.
I decide what I continue feeding. I decide how I speak to myself. I decide whether my past becomes a prison or a classroom. I decide whether fear or faith receives my imagination. I decide whether I wait to be chosen or choose myself now.
My old story may still knock on the door. I do not have to invite it inside and give it my identity. I can recognize it, thank it for trying to protect me, and return to what I now know.
I am loved. I am chosen. I am capable. I am safe to receive. I am whole and complete.
