Chapter Eight

Living as the Person I Choose to Be

Manifesting changed for me when it stopped being something I used only to obtain an outcome. It became a way of choosing who I would be while life unfolded. I still desire love, companionship, financial freedom, meaningful work, health, travel, creativity, and opportunities to help people. I simply no longer want to postpone my wholeness until those things arrive. … There is a moment when desire changes from ‘I hope this happens’ to ‘This is available to me.’ The outside may not have changed, but my internal relationship with the desire has. I no longer stand outside the experience asking whether I am allowed to receive it. I give myself permission. I do not force or chase. I become available. Living from the end does not mean acting irresponsibly or pretending a physical result has arrived. It means embodying the identity of the person who can receive, sustain, and appreciate it.

You may recognize this as postponing Wholeness, calling Detachment “Giving Up”, or waiting for Perfect Confidence.

A question to sit with

How does the person you choose to be speak internally?
